The Golden Oldies Musical Night was held on 25 April 2026.
” was first of its kind ever held in Australia.. The event was huge success with over 150 people attended (mostly seniors). The theme was “Golden Oldies – Roll back the years.
We sing and play songs from the 60 and 70s. The events incorporated sing along, dancing, ukelelle groups, dancers, harmonica & violinist performers throughout the night.
Every performer must do songs from the yester years. Lots of sing along sessions which include English, Chinese and Malay Songs
We gave away many free gifts and prizes for audience participation like guess the song, best dressed couple of the 60s, best dancing couple, birthday person and oldest person.
The oldest person there was a 94 years old lady from Penang.
Overall, it was such a resounding success that many did not want to leave even at 9pm.We raised nearly $1400.00 during the 3 hour event. How awesome.
Our aim was 2 fold:
To bring the seniors and ageing population together through songs & music. This builds harmony
To create the awareness of growing aging health problems facing the community and raising funds for Dementia Australia.
